Accessibility of this Website
NOAA’s Damage Assessment Remediation and Restoration Program (DARRP) is committed to presenting information on its website that is usable by all visitors, to the greatest extent possible, without the need for adaptation or specialized design. We are working to make our site compliant with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (29 U.S.C. § 794d), as amended in 1998, as well as following the guidelines of the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative.
Section 508 is a federal law that requires agencies to provide people with disabilities or sensory impairments with access to information and data comparable to those without disabilities/impairments, unless doing so would impose an undue burden on the agency. The Section 508 standards are the technical requirements and criteria used to determine whether the agency is meeting the requirements of this law.
